Before You Begin
- Verify the access control panel supports OSDP v2 or Wiegand 26/34-bit input.
- Confirm 12 V DC power is available at the reader location. The panel may supply reader power over the OSDP bus, or a separate power supply may be required.
- For OSDP installations, use shielded twisted-pair cable (22 AWG minimum) for the RS-485 bus.
- For Wiegand installations, use standard access control cable (22 AWG, 6-conductor shielded).
- Do not exceed 1,200 m (4,000 ft) total RS-485 bus length for OSDP. Maximum Wiegand cable run is 150 m (500 ft).
Mounting
S100 / S100K (Mullion Mount)
- Position the mounting plate on the mullion or flat surface at the desired height (typically 48 in / 122 cm from finished floor to reader center).
- Mark and drill two mounting holes using the template on the back of the mounting plate.
- Route the cable through the wall or conduit and through the plate's cable opening.
- Secure the mounting plate with the supplied #8 screws and wall anchors.
- Connect the reader's pigtail or terminal block wires (see Wiring section below).
- Snap the reader onto the mounting plate until both retention clips engage.
- Verify the tamper switch is depressed by the mounting surface.
S200 / S200K (Single-Gang Box Mount)
- Install a standard single-gang electrical box flush with the wall surface.
- Route the cable into the box through a knockout.
- Attach the slotted mounting plate to the box using the supplied 6-32 screws.
- Connect the reader's pigtail or terminal block wires (see Wiring section below).
- Align the reader with the mounting plate and secure with the captive screw at the bottom.
- Verify the tamper switch is depressed by the mounting plate.

OSDP Configuration
- Default OSDP address:
0. Change via DIP switches on the PCB or OSDP command.
- Default baud rate:
9600. Supports 9600, 19200, 38400, 57600, 115200.
- Secure channel is enabled by default. The panel must support OSDP v2 secure channel to communicate.
- To disable secure channel for initial testing, hold the tamper switch for 10 seconds during power-up (LED will flash amber).
- RS-485 bus termination: enable the on-board 120 Ω termination resistor on the last reader in the daisy chain (DIP switch 4 = ON).
Wiegand Configuration
- Set DIP switch 1 to OFF for Wiegand mode (default is OSDP).
- Default format: 26-bit Wiegand. Set DIP switch 2 to ON for 34-bit output.
- LED and buzzer are controlled by the panel via the orange and brown wires.
